What Types of Commissions Do I Do?

I do many different types of commissions, including book covers, portraits, album covers, posters, flyers, and fantasy/horror paintings. Whether it’s for you, your home, your office, a gift, or a project, I would love to create a unique work of art for you!

I Want a Commissioned Painting… What’s Next?

Email me at [email protected] with the commission you’re interested in and the size that you’d like. From there, we’ll chat about the details of the artwork and also the turnaround time, which depends on the number of commissions ahead of you.

All private commissions require a 30% non-refundable deposit. The remaining amount plus shipping costs (if applicable) is due upon completion. If you’d like, I’d also be happy to create a payment plan for you for the remaining amount. I offer payment plans split into 2, 3, or 4 payments. Payment Plans are easy for me to set up -- it’s my most common form of payment!

There are two stages to my commission process -- 1) the pencil drawing/sketch and 2) the final completed artwork. After we discuss what you would like, I’ll send you a contract with all of the details laid out. Then I’ll draw up a pencil sketch and email you a photo of it. There is no additional fee for the first two revisions to the sketch. Each additional revision will be charged at an hourly rate for how long it takes me to make that revision ($25 per hour). No revisions can be made after the sketch/drawing stage.

Next I’ll start working on the final painting for you! All full color paintings are done with acrylic, watercolor colored pencil, and ink (see some examples below). I can send you work in progress photos during the process if you’d like, but I do also have some clients that like the element of surprise in the end and don’t want to see any progress pics. That’s okay too!

Commercial/Corporate Commissions

I offer commissioned illustrations created for corporations and/or for licensed use. I’ve made artwork for album covers, book covers, band merchandise, logos, wine/beer labels, promotional posters for universities, and much more. I’d love to work with you on your next project! My private commission rates (listed below) do not apply to these commissions, so please email me at [email protected] to discuss your project.

Rates below are for full color mixed media paintings. If you are interested in a B&W pencil drawing or a different size, please email me for a quote.
